Hawk Highlights

Our October 22, 2018, edition of Hawk Highlights is hot off the press and ready to view. Take a minute to read our most current edition for important announcements, reminders, and highlights of all that is happening at our school.

Soar to 1600 Parent Meeting

The Soar to 1600 College Readiness Initiative: SAT Test Prep parent meeting is on Wednesday, November 28 at 6:00 p.m. at Hillgrove. Please view the Soar to 1600 flyer for additional information and to RSVP. The classes will start January 2019.

EOC Review Sessions

It is with excitement that we announce we will be offering after-school review sessions for all EOC courses! The sessions will run from 3:45 p.m. until 5:15 pm. for two days prior to testing. Please pick up students promptly at 5:15 p.m. We will not have buses available to provide transportation. Please see the review sessions below.

  • Monday, November 26 - Ninth Grade Literature (auditorium) and American Literature (media center)
  • Tuesday, November 27 - Ninth Grade Literature (auditorium) and American Literature (media center)
  • Wednesday, November 28 - Algebra I (auditorium) and Geometry (media center)
  • Thursday, November 29 - Algebra I (auditorium) and Geometry (media center)
  • Monday, December 3 - Biology (media center) and United States History (auditorium)
  • Tuesday, December 4 - Biology (media center) and United States History (auditorium)

AP Exam Registration

AP exam registration is officially open! Students taking AP exams at Hillgrove High School must register for exams online by 11:59 p.m. on December 7, 2018. For the 2019 AP exams, the cost is $94 per exam. Please visit the online registration portal to register, and refer to the AP exam registration and fees flyer for more information.

High School Students Visit Cheatham

Several of our football players, cheerleaders, and members of the band made a visit to Cheatham Hill Elementary School. They opened car doors, greeted students, and had a dance party! We would like to thank the football players, cheerleaders, and band members for their delightful visit!

Georgia Parent Survey

The Georgia parent survey is modeled after the student survey and contains 24 questions. Parents may complete the survey using their personal computer, smartphone, or tablet. We encourage all parents to participate in the Georgia parent survey because we will use the data as part of the calculation of the school climate star rating. Survey responses are anonymous, and you will submit your responses directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. The Georgia parent survey is also available in Spanish. Parents may select the Spanish version within the survey. Please see the survey information below.
